Picking up from the ending of 2023’s Season One, which teased the arrival of Kong, Season Two’s logline reads “with the fate of Monarch — and the world — hanging in the balance. The dramatic saga reveals buried secrets that reunite our heroes (and villains) on Kong’s Skull Island, and a new, mysterious village where a mythical Titan rises from the sea. The ripple effects of the past make waves in the present day, blurring the bonds between family, friend and foe — all with the threat of a titan event on the horizon.”

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters‘ second chapter will see a returning cast of Anna Sawai (Shōgun), Kiersey Clemons (Flatliners), Ren Watabe (461 Days of Bento), Mari Yamamoto (Pachinko), Joe Tippett (Rise) and Anders Holm (The Interview) as Cate Randa, May, Kentaro, Keiki, Tim and Bill Randa, respectively. Kurt Russell (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2) is also set to return as Lee Shaw, a character whose fate remains uncertain after Season One.
