‘Spy × Family’ Returns For Third Season In October

The Forgers are making a return in the third season of the Spy x Family anime adaptation, with the popular series set to continue on 4 October 2025.

Revealed via a visual posted on the official Spy x Family website, the anime’s third season will debut on 4 October on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TV Setouchi, TV Hokkaido, and TV Kyushu, then airing a day later on BS TV Tokyo.

Based on the manga series by Tatsuya Endō, the anime will see the return of Season Two episode director Yukiko Imai, who replaces previous season directors Kazuhiro Furuhashi and Takahiro Harada. The season’s art setting will be helmed by Yuki Takeuchi (Witch Watch) and returning episode art director Tomomi Sugimoto, with Keita Watanabe (Wind Breaker) serving as its CG director and Rina Koguchi (Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc) as its editor.

Season One of the Spy x Family anime adaptation premiered in two halves, its first in April 2022 and its second in October that same year. The anime’s second season then premiered in October 2023 and ran for 12 episodes, which was followed by an anime film, Spy × Family Code: White, which was released in December 2023. Both seasons were also streamed on Crunchyroll.

Spy x Family follows the master spy Twilight, who disguises himself as psychiatrist Loid Forger, who builds a fake family to fulfil his ultimate mission, investigating political leader Donovan Desmond. Unbeknownst to him, his wife, Yor, is an assassin known as the Thorn Princess, and his adopted daughter, Anya, is a telepath. The series received critical acclaim for its humour, story and animation, winning numerous awards since release, including Animation of the Year at the Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2023.

Spy x Family Season Three will debut on 4 October 2025.
