Slashing its way to the one and only stop in Southeast Asia.

The local excitement surrounding Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba reached a fever pitch with the highly anticipated arrival of the Infinity Castle animated film and a red carpet premiere attended by Japanese voice actor Takahiro Sakurai, but there’s still more to come. Following sold-out runs across Asia in 2023 and 2024, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Total Concentration Exhibition will make its debut in Singapore, inviting fans to relive iconic scenes through life-sized sets, dynamic visuals, and multi-sensory experiences.

Organised by FriedRice Experience, in collaboration with ACO Media, Muse Communication, and Mediasphere Communications, the showcase is set to take over the former Singapore Sports Hub Library from 24 January to 15 March 2026, marking its only Southeast Asian stop for the year. It spans 21,000 square feet across two floors, comprising seven experiences that feature major locations and elements of the series, including the Demon Slayer Headquarters, House of Demons, and the various Breathing Style techniques.

Here’s what to expect from each zone:

 • Mount Fujikasane: The mountain designated by the Demon Slayer Corps for the Final Selection. A dreamlike space surrounded by eternally blooming wisteria trees.
 • Demon Slayer Headquarters: Displays key items related to the organisation, including an organisational chart, character profiles, Nichirin Swords, and a curated collection of memorable quotes and iconic depictions of the Demon Slayers.
 • House of Demons: Showcases illustrations of demons from the series, while partially recreating Kibutsuji Muzan’s Infinity Castle. At regular intervals, a special mechanism activates to immerse visitors in the terrifying presence of demons.
 • Battle of Mount Natagumo: Highlights Breathing Styles with original illustrations of Demon Slayers using their breathing techniques, a photo spot recreating the effects of Water Breathing, and other exhibits related to breathing styles.
 • Mugen Train: Life-sized reproductions of the carriages from 2020’s Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train.
 • Kimetsu Academy: The official spin-off, created by artist Koyoharu Gotoge, portrays life in a modern world where the Demon Slayer Corps and demons coexist. It offers a glimpse of the Demon Slayer Corps living a peaceful life, a stark contrast to their daily life-or-death missions.
 • Infiltrating the Entertainment District: Features numerous contraptions, such as peek-through holes in the fusuma (traditional Japanese sliding partitions) and the Muscle Mice, visible when peering through small openings.

After the 45-minute journey, a 1,000-square-foot merchandise store awaits, offering a selection of collectables and apparel. Specifically for this stop, animation studio ufotable has created designs exclusive only to Singapore, featuring chibi characters at iconic local landmarks.

Tickets for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Total Concentration Exhibition will be available for purchase online in three phases, via Pelago and Klook. The first runs from 26 November to 10 December (or when allocations sell out, whichever is earlier), with a 20 per cent discount on all tickets: S$19.20 and $22.40 for adults on weekdays and weekends, respectively – versus the standard of S$24 and S$28 – and S$15.20 and S$18.40 for concession prices (children between two to 12 years old, and seniors aged 60 and above), compared to S$19 and S$23.

Phase 2, which includes a limited-edition souvenir card with each ticket, begins on 11 December and ends on 22 January, followed by the final wave from 23 January to 15 March 2026. Bundles will be available starting 11 December, consisting of the following options:

 • Family Bundle of 3 (max 2 adults) – S$72, includes 3x souvenir cards if purchased during Phase 2 sale period
 • Family Bundle of 4 (max 2 adults) – S$94, includes 4x souvenir cards if purchased during Phase 2 sale period
 • VIP Bundle (per pax) – S$58, includes 1x ticket, 1x metal bookmark, 1x ID card, 1x $10 retail voucher

The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Total Concentration Exhibition will take place at the former Singapore Sports Hub Library, 4 Stadium Walk, from 24 January to 15 March 2026.

Take flight with first-generation critters as company.

It isn’t the first time Pokémon have soared across the skyline of Singapore, but that doesn’t mean fans should miss out on the fun. After a successful run in 2023, Singapore Cable Car is back with a new Pokémon Day-to-Night Adventure featuring fan-favourites from the first generation, set to run from 22 November to 30 April 2026 across the Mount Faber Line, which spans Mount Faber Peak to Sentosa.

The excitement begins at the entrance, where a cheerful Pikachu and wall decor spotlighting Gengar, Charmander, Eevee, Jigglypuff, and, of course, the beloved yellow mouse, greet visitors. Along the stairway leading to the merchandise store and the station are decals of various critters, followed by photo spots in the open area.

Each of the five featured Pokémon adorns the outside of the cabins, with the theming carrying over into the interiors. When nighttime rolls around, the cable car experience transforms into an interactive affair – guests are invited to shine their complimentary UV torch onto the roof of the cabin, revealing UV-reactive decorative elements and one out of five Pokémon silhouettes: Gyarados, Pidgeot, Charizard, Dragonite, or Aerodactyl. Those who are feeling particularly lucky may want to keep their eyes peeled for Mew, a rare sighting reserved for a few cabins only.

After taking to the skies, a merchandise store awaits at Mount Faber Peak. From usual offerings like plush toys and apparel, including glow-in-the-dark shirts, to customisable charms and trading cards, there will be no shortage of keepsakes to bring home.

The Pokémon Day-to-Night Adventure experience takes place from 22 November to 30 April 2026. Tickets for a round trip on the Singapore Cable Car to Mount Faber Line are available at S$33 for adults and S$22 for children aged four to 12. Alternatively, there’s the Cable Car SkyPass for $45 and S$35, respectively, which gives access to unlimited rides for one day. All tickets can be purchased at the counters or through the official website.

From 1 to 31 December, those who participate in the Snap, Tag & Win contest can also stand a chance to win prizes by sharing a daytime photo/video of themselves in the cable car with any Pokémon and a nighttime photo/video with Mew, tagging @MountFaberLeisure, and setting their account to public on Instagram or TikTok. A total of 25 winners will be selected across the period.

The demon-slaying, stage-performing trio of HUNTR/X is in their charting era, and the momentum only continues to go up, up, up. A KPop Demon Hunters pop-up is set to land in Singapore from 22 December 2025 to 11 January 2026, coming as part of a tour that begins in Seoul on 4 December.

KPop Demon Hunters Pop-up Singapore

Singapore is next on the list, followed by Bangkok (24 December to 15 January 2026), Tokyo (26 December to 11 January), and Taipei (3 to 18 January). Event specifics, such as location and ticketing or booking details, have yet to be announced, but the guide for the Seoul stop reveals themed zones featuring both the girl group and the Saja Boys.

Starting with the “How It’s Done” segment, which invites visitors to fight demons alongside Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, the experience leads into a performance of “Soda Pop”, a peek into Rumi’s room, a stroll on the rooftop of the Hanok, and set pieces spotlighting “Your Idol” and, of course, “Golden”, among others. Fans can also look forward to receiving a balloon of Derpy – the adorable supernatural blue tiger from the film – after completing the stamp rally, and customising their bags and keyrings with themed patches at the Wapen Maker area.

It’s unclear whether the Singapore stop of the KPop Demon Hunters pop-up will offer the same features and merchandise, which include mini CD keychains of both group’s soundtracks, plushies of Derpy and Sussie, Jinu’s hat-wearing bird familiar, and fleece jackets for the Seoul leg, as shared by event organiser b.stage.

Since its debut in late August, the animated flick has become a worldwide sensation with over 300 million views on Netflix, making it the streamer’s most-watched show to date. While all of the original soundtracks entered music charts around the world, some naturally ranked higher than others, the phenomenal success of “Golden”, the hit song written by singer-songwriter EJAE (who also provides the singing voice for Rumi), is on a different level – not only did it top the Billboard global charts for numerous weeks, it most recently earned five Grammys nominations, including Song of the Year. A sequel to KPop Demon Hunters is currently in the works, with a release set for 2029.

Pokémon enthusiasts are soon in for a treat, as the first-ever permanent outdoor Pokémon attraction, PokéPark Kanto, gears up for its grand opening inside the Yomiuriland amusement park on 5 February 2026, with applications for lottery-based tickets available from 21 November.

As shared during July’s Pokémon Presents showcase, the 2.6-hectare facility (26,000 square metres) will consist of two main areas: Pokémon Forest, where visitors can look forward to an up-close look at various critters along a 500-metre walking trail, and Sedge Town, featuring a Pokémon Center and Poké Mart, familiar sights for fans of the games, a Gym, and two other attractions that require separate ticket purchases – the Pika Pika Paradise ride, starring over 30 Electric-types (including Pikachu, of course), and the Vee Vee Voyage merry-go-round that puts Ponyta, Rapidash, and Eevee into focus.

Additionally, Sedge Town will also play host to parades led by Pikachu and Eevee, food and merchandise stores, and a meet-and-greet area. Over 600 Pokémon across the various generations can be encountered in PokéPark Kanto, and both ticket types include admission to Yomiuriland.

PokéPark Kanto

The first, the Trainer’s Pass, starts from 7,900 yen (S$66) for adults and grants entry to both Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town. The Ace Trainer’s Pass is pricier at 14,000 yen (S$118), but allows unlimited entry to Pokémon Forest, which is restricted to those aged five and older and individuals able to climb the 110-step staircase. A Town Pass, limiting access to Sedge Town only, is launching at a later date.

The ticket lottery application for admission through the end of March 2026 is open from 21 November to 8 December. Winners will be notified sometime in late December.

Tokyo's about to get monstrous — in the best of ways.

The post 40-Metre Godzilla Statue Roars To Life At Tokyo’s Haneda Airport This Dec appeared first on Geek Culture.

A kaiju-sized visitor will soon swing by Japan’s gateway to the world, and it’s none other than the King of Monsters himself. As part of a partnership between Toho Co. Ltd, Japan Airport Terminal, and the Tokyo International Air Terminal Corporation, a 40-metre statue of Godzilla is set to grace Haneda Airport this December.

Based on the original 1954 design of the iconic monster, the centrepiece measures around nine metres high and will be the largest indoor Godzilla installation in the world. Alongside its touchdown in the departures lobby at Terminal 3, the experience also features other immersive elements in the arrivals area, including artwork of various iconic kaiju across the franchise and a statue of the titular beast from the recent Oscar-winning film Godzilla Minus One.

The displays are scheduled to run for one year at Haneda Airport until December 2026, with the theme centred on Godzilla welcoming “all visitors to Japan and see[ing] them off when they depart”. The project marks the latest initiative in celebrating Godzilla’s long-standing legacy, following celebrations of its 70th anniversary last year.

After checking it out in person, fans can consider zipping away to Godzilla’s mouth at the Nijigen no Mori Park on Awaji Island or to Seibuen Amusement Park in Tokorozawa, where a new themed ride awaits, for the full-fledged kaiju experience.

There’s still some time to go before spooky season comes to an end, and Tampines One continues to embrace the Halloween spirit. Like clockwork, the heartland mall in Singapore has returned with another iteration of its annual Halloween Scaretacular event, this time featuring a prison theme titled ‘Cell 444 Edition’.

The scare fest will take place at the rooftop across three date ranges: 18 and 19 October, 23 to 26 October, and 30 October to 2 November. Visitors can purchase a ticket at S$10 or redeem a free one with a minimum spend of S$100 to participate in the experience, which runs from 7pm to 11pm (last entry at 10.30pm).

“Enter the forgotten prison where injustice never dies. Once a quiet man, now a vengeful spirit. Step into his prison where he twists the cell into a living nightmare. Can you make it out alive — or will you become part of the story?” reads the description for the event.

As part of the celebration, Tampines One will also play host to festive promotions and exclusive FRx (short for Frasers Experience) eDeals, with Halloween-themed merchandise adorning participating stores.

This year’s Halloween Maze marks its sixth year of tradition, scheduled to open its doors every Thursday to Sunday until 2 November. More information can be found on the official event webpage.

Offering a glimpse of Hideo Kojima’s upcoming projects.

The post Kojima Productions Marks 10th Anniversary & Teases Future Projects With ‘Beyond The Strand’ Event appeared first on Geek Culture.

]]>

Renowned video game director Hideo Kojima has announced plans to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his studio, Kojima Productions, at a special event titled Beyond The Strand, which is set to take place in Japan in September.

According to Kojima Productions’ official website, the Beyond The Strand event will be hosted by Kojima himself, and “will include special guest appearances as well as offer a glimpse into future projects”. The event is set to take place at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills, Tokyo, Japan, on 23 September 2025.

Eager fans can enter a lottery to stand a chance to secure a ticket to the event, which costs ¥7700 (approx. S$67), with tickets going on sale on 2 September. Alternatively, a livestream of the event will also be available online, with details to be announced on a later date.

As to which “future projects” are set to be announced at Beyond The Strand is still unclear at the moment, but it won’t be surprising if more details emerge for some of Kojima’s known projects, such as the Metal Gear spiritual successor, Physint, which the director previously announced was in its early conceptual stage, or his upcoming horror project OD which is indevelopment in collaboration with Microsoft and Jordan Peele.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (2025)

Kojima could possibly tease more about the various Death Stranding-related film projects in the pipeline, such as the live-action A24 movie or the animated adaptation, which is set to feature an original story. One thing’s for sure, though, this is Kojima after all, so Beyond The Strand’s reveals will certainly be vague, wacky, or everything in between.

S.E.A. Aquarium was already impressive in its own right, serving as the spacious home of marine biodiversity, from various stingray, shark, and jellyfish species to a giant octopus. Following three months of renovation works, the attraction is set to return three times larger than before as the Singapore Oceanarium, complete with 22 themed zones focusing on different aspects of life under the sea.

Singapore Oceanarium Preview

Ahead of its official opening on 24 July at Resorts World Sentosa, a closed-door preview was held for invited media and guests, offering a full look at the revamped space. It proved to be a spectacular, even breathtaking, time, and the expanded breadth can certainly be felt — where the previous walkthrough took around two hours or so, this new experience can come up to four hours.

Greeting visitors at the entrance is the Ocean Wonders exhibit, where captivating sea jellies are housed in kreisel tanks, a specialised habitat for delicate marine creatures. Whether it’s the Lion’s Mane Sea Jelly, Upside-Down Sea Jelly, or Atlantic Sea Nettle, all of them can be found pulsating and free-floating in 360-degree views, making for a therapeutic sight. Drop by another day, and there’s a chance to catch other moon jelly species in action, as the live displays will be rotated after a certain period.

Leading into Ancient Waters, the spotlight shifts to the annals of history. Alongside towering replicas that breathe life into long-extinct creatures like the Dunkleosteus, the prehistoric zone also features fossil exhibits, interactive discovery points, digital experiences involving ancient marine organisms, and live habitats showcasing the Australian Lungfish, Arapaima, horseshoe crab, and epaulette shark. For an extra touch of hands-on fun, scanning a QR code on the wall unlocks an augmented reality (AR) experience, where individuals are fed information about the replicas hanging from the wall.

The next zone, Singapore’s Coast, puts the local mangrove ecosystem into focus through two ways: projection mapping and active displays of the archerfish, Barred Mudskipper, Knobbly Sea Star, Spotted Seahorse, and more. But more scene-stealers are lying in wait in Whale Fall and Seamount, providing close-up glimpses of axolotls, Japanese giant salamanders, poison dart frogs, and the Titicaca Water Frog — most of which were not seen previously at the S.E.A. Aquarium.

Marking a respite from the marine scenery is a photo gallery by internationally acclaimed Singaporean photographers Toh Xing Jie and Michael Aw, housed in the Spirit of Exploration section. Titled “Ties That Bind”, it highlights the relationships that sustain ocean life, and leads into the Explorer’s Nook café, which sells adorable marine-themed pastries and lifestyle products. A separate experience called Pier Adventure is also available here, allowing the little ones to bounce on suspended ropes for an additional S$10 for 20 minutes.

Now, back to the ocean floor. Coral Gardens, as its name suggests, is all about the vast diversity of hard and soft corals, accompanied by giant clams, with a designated area to educate the public on conservation efforts and the various consequences of global warming, including bleached corals. Visitors can also get a better view of moray eels through a crawl tunnel, while those with a more adventurous spirit can dip their hands into the touch pool.

Along the way, guests will come across the Aquarist Lab, where viewing windows offer a behind-the-scenes peek at in-house breeding programmes. Those keen to dive (hah) deeper into the experience can do so via the Singapore Oceanarium Insider Experience, costing an additional S$318 for adults on peak periods (S$288 on non-peak), or the Sea Jellies / Corals Animal Spotlight programme, each priced at S$28.

Elsewhere, Life in the Deep turns the attention to preserved specimens of deep-sea species, including the Supergiant Amphipod, Deepsea Lizardfish, and Pudgey Cusk Eel. Keeping in line with the vastness of the deep is the Open Ocean zone, home to manta rays, Spotted Eagle Rays, and zebra sharks. This isn’t the only place to find these apex predators, either — the Shark Seas zone sees plenty of them gliding overhead and around in the Shark Tunnel, joining a viewing panel in showcasing the Sand Tiger Shark, Scalloped Hammerhead, Sandbar Shark, and more.

Rounding out the Singapore Oceanarium experience are the Trenches, Ocean’s Future, and Hallway of Hope sections, with the latter two highlighting the importance of an individual’s role in ocean conservation efforts and the dangers of global warming. When the trail ends, a merchandise store threatens to lighten the wallet, offering everything from standard fare like plushies and keychains to more unique souvenirs, such as customisable patches and papercraft.

Check some of them out below:

The Singapore Oceanarium opens its doors at Resorts World Sentosa on 24 July. Ticket prices start from S$50 / S$42 per adult (peak and non-peak, respectively), S$39 / S$35 per child (ages 4 to 12 years old), and S$39 / S$35 per senior citizen (ages 60 and above) for Singapore residents. Non-residents will have to pay S$55 / S$50 for adults, and S$43 / S$39 per child or senior citizen. From 25 June to 23 July, every purchase of an admission ticket — valid for visits between 24 July and 31 August — also includes a free exclusive marine animal blind box.

Alongside the previously mentioned Singapore Oceanarium Insider Experience and the Animal Spotlight programmes, other available experiences include Ocean in Focus: Into the Abyss and Fossilist Workshop, priced at S$88 each.

Akihabara Loses Former Sega Arcade Landmark After 32 Years https://geekculture.co/akihabara-loses-former-sega-arcade-landmark-after-32-years/ Wed, 16 Jul 2025 04:52:53 +0000 https://geekculture.co/?p=320351

The end of a historic Sega saga.

Tokyo’s gaming paradise, Akihabara, is about to lose one of its most iconic landmarks, as Genda Gigo Entertainment has announced that it will be closing the Akihabara Gigo 1 arcade, the iconic red building and former site of Sega’s flagship arcade, at the end of August 2025.

This follows a recent change in the district, once a hub for all things gaming, anime and electronics, as many of its niche stalls have closed over the years in favour of more mainstream shops to attract tourists. The Akihabara Gigo 1 arcade is just the latest in a string of redevelopment, but is still perhaps the most heartbreaking due to its rich history.

First opened in 1992 as High Tech Land Sega Shintoku, the arcade housed all things Sega and benefited from its prime location, located just outside Akihabara Station. The building would go on to change its name to Club Sega Akihabara and then Sega Akihabara 1 over the years, and was the first of five Sega arcades in the area, decked out in the now iconic bright red exterior walls.

In 2022, amusement arcades company Genda acquired Sega’s arcade business, following the latter’s decision to exit the arcade business two years prior, renaming all five buildings under the Genda Gigo Entertainment banner, although they still kept their iconic red design.

Akihabara Gigo 1 closure follows the shuttering of the former Sega Akihabara 4, which got briefly rebranded to Gigo before closing in 2022 due to the expiration of its fixed-term lease. According to an official announcement from Genda Gigo Entertainment, this latest closure follows in the same footsteps, making it likely that the two buildings’ prime location led to a rental agreement that was deemed too expensive for renewal.

Still, this unfortunate news doesn’t signal the end of all Genda’s arcade endeavours, as the company still has three remaining arcades spread out across Akihabara. Furthermore, it also has plans to turn the building into an amusement hub by Matahari Entertainment, with Genda stating that this change “will contribute even further to the development of Akihabara and Japan’s pop culture.”

Sega is also set to unveil a new hub for its games in Tokyo, with its first flagship store in Japan opening on 18 July at Shibuya PARCO, operating as both a hub for Japanese entertainment and culture while also offering an extensive selection of Sega and Atlus-themed items, alongside exclusive merchandise.

Celebrating 40 years of a beloved franchise — and many more to come.

Kamehameha! It’s a wonder how Dragon Ball, one of the most beloved names in pop culture, hasn’t gotten an official store after all this time, but things will soon change. In celebration of the franchise’s 40th anniversary, Shueisha and Toei Animation have announced the opening of the first Dragon Ball store in the world later this year.

The aptly-titled Dragon Ball Store is scheduled to launch in Tokyo, Japan, in the fall of 2025, featuring “must-buy” items for fans that include limited-edition goods available nowhere else. Other information, such as the merchandise lineup and its exact location, will be unveiled “shortly”.

The well-loved franchise joins JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure in welcoming a world’s first store, with the latter coming to the sixth floor of Shibuya PARCO in Tokyo later this month. Created by the late Akira Toriyama, the Dragon Ball manga ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1984 to 1992 across 42 volumes.

The first half was adapted into a 153-episode anime in 1986, while Dragon Ball Z continued the story from 1989 to 1996. The series is considered to be the most iconic part of the franchise, bringing memorable arcs focusing on Saiyan, Frieza, Majin Buu, and more to life. To date, it has sold over 160 million copies in Japan and 260 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling manga series to date.

Akira Toriyama Dragon Ball: Daima

Prior to Toriyama’s unfortunate passing, the industry legend was reported to be working on the Dragon Ball Super manga, which went on a semi-hiatus, and the Dragon Ball: Daima anime that aired last October.

Originally launched in the 1960s as an anthology-style comic, Marvel’s Amazing Adventures series holds historical significance in Marvel’s comic book legacy. The 2025 Special Edition, available exclusively on the ship, honours this legacy. At the same time, complimentary copies of the comic itself will also be gifted exclusively to all guests of selected sailings in their staterooms.

Alyssa Wong, known for their work on 2020’s Star Wars: Doctor Aphra and the 2022 Deadpool comic book runs, will be leading a team that will pen and illustrate the Amazing Adventures Special Edition comic. In addition, renowned comic book artist Leinil Francis Yu, whose portfolio features countless iconic heroes over the years, including the co-creation of the first Filipino Marvel superhero, Wave, will partner with Marvel Comics to provide the cover art for this exclusive comic book.

An exclusive first look at the illustration has been unveiled by Disney Cruise Line and Marvel Comics, showcasing fan favourites such as Sam Wilson’s Captain America, Spider-Man, Thor, and Iron Man, all of whom will be exhibited on the ship.

Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’ Revisits Universal Studios Singapore’s Halloween Horror Nights 13 https://geekculture.co/netflixs-stranger-things-revisits-universal-studios-singapores-halloween-horror-nights-13/ Wed, 09 Jul 2025 07:53:24 +0000 https://geekculture.co/?p=319922

Relive the nightmarish terrors of Hawkins.

The post Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’ Revisits Universal Studios Singapore’s Halloween Horror Nights 13 appeared first on Geek Culture.

]]>

Halloween Horror Nights 8 brought the terrors of the Upside Down to life, but that was just the beginning. As the annual horror fest returns with its 13th edition at Universal Studios Singapore, visitors can expect to step through the gates of Hawkins again — this time with an all-new haunted house experience that relives the events of Seasons 2, 3, and 4.

Halloween Horror Nights 13

Taking place from 26 September to 1 November, Halloween Horror Nights 13 is set for 18 nights of frights, with the Stranger Things-inspired attraction leading the charge. It will feature iconic locations from the acclaimed Netflix series, including the shadowy halls of Hawkins National Laboratory, Vecna’s blood-red mind lair, and Starcourt Mall, alongside familiar abominations like the Mind Flayer and Demodogs.

The themed installation marks Universal Studios Singapore’s fourth collaboration with Netflix, following haunted houses modelled after Korean global hits Sweet Home and All of Us Are Dead for Halloween Horror Nights 12 and 11, respectively, as well as the first Stranger Things experience.

Joining the flagship experience are Singapore’s Most Haunted: Build to Horror, focusing on unsuspecting residents living on a burial ground for unclaimed bodies who are possessed by a demonic sinseh; The Realm of Yokai scare zone, which puts spirits, demons, and forgotten creatures from Japanese folklore front and centre; and the FEARground scare zone that adds a nightmarish touch to carnival and circus acts.

Two brand-new live shows are also due to make their debut: Dare or Die Live!, described as a “chaotic spectacle [that is] equal parts horror gameshow and deranged fears of fear, and Once Upon a Time…to Die, centring on the mutilated master of time, Mr Rabid and his plan to steal life-altering items from innocent fairytale legends.

“Time is the greatest enemy and survival is simply an illusion,” reads the official description for Halloween Horror Nights 13. “As the seconds creep towards the cursed 13th hour, fans will confront a multiverse of terror in haunted houses, scare zones, live shows, and an immersive bar experience. With every tick, a new hellscape emerges. With every tock, demons creep closer to claim new souls.”

Admission starts at S$58 for non-peak nights and S$68 for peak nights, with early bird tickets going on sale from 13 July for a limited time on the Resorts World Sentosa website and official ticketing partner Klook. Guests who purchase the newly launched Universal Studios Singapore Season Pass can enjoy exclusive offers on select tickets, which must be purchased separately, and unlimited entry to the premises for six months as part of a larger celebration of the country’s 60th birthday.

More information about the remaining haunted house experiences will be revealed on the event page. As for Stranger Things, the fifth and final season is scheduled for a three-part release: the first four episodes on 26 November, another three on Christmas Day, and the finale on New Year’s Eve.

Honouring a beloved storied legacy in Japan.

The post ‘Neon Genesis Evangelion’ Celebrates 30th Anniversary With Special Exhibition This Nov appeared first on Geek Culture.

The impact of Neon Genesis Evangelion on popular media has hardly waned over the years, so it’s easy to forget that the iconic mecha series will hit the big ‘3’ this year (the first episode premiered on 4 October back in the day, so it’s not quite there yet).

In celebration of its 30th anniversary, a special exhibition titled ALL OF EVANGELION is set to open at Tokyo City View this fall, kicking off on 14 November and running through the new year until 12 January 2026. The event is being organised with the help of Studio Khara — which owns the rights to the IP from Gainax — and other partners, treating fans to a showcase of diverse production materials, including rare animation cels, original drawings, and design documents from the original 1995 show.

Digital assets from the Rebuild of Evangelion film series will also be featured, charting its legacy from 2007 to 2021. A reboot of the original series with new elements, it comprises 2007’s Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone, 2009’s Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance, and 2012’s Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo, coming to a definite close with 2021’s Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time. More details about the exhibit will be shared in the lead-up to its launch.

Neon Genesis Evangelion Anniversary Exhibition

Directed by Hideaki Anno at Gainax, Neon Genesis Evangelion follows 14-year-old Shinji Ikari, who is recruited by the mysterious organisation NERV to pilot a giant mecha called “Evangelion” to fight against monsters known as “Angels” in a post-apocalyptic world. It originally aired from October 1995 to March 1996, and has spawned multiple movies, reboots, and spin-offs, alongside countless brand collaborations — from a crossover with mobile title Goddess of Victory: NIKKE and PC builds from PC and peripheral company ROG, to themed hotel rooms and even rations.

The ALL OF EVANGELION special exhibition takes place from 14 November 2025 to 12 January 2026.
