What will you do for one billion dollars?
Or rather, can you survive for 30 days while the world hunts you down? That’s the predicament Ben Richards (Glen Powell, Hit Man) finds himself in as he faces the odds in The Running Man, an explosive dystopian action thriller heading to cinemas on 13 November 2025.
As the second adaptation of the 1982 Stephen King novel of the same name, and following the 1987 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger (the Terminator franchise), this latest blockbuster rendition is directed and co-produced by Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead) and follows Richards as he takes part in the titular The Running Man game show to save his sick daughter.
Yes, the billion-dollar cash reward is high, but so are the stakes, as Richards and his fellow contestants must survive for 30 days while being hunted by professional assassins, all while their every move is broadcast to the public. Presenting an underdog story for the ages, Richards must fight to outwit not just the growing assassin threat, but also a nation addicted to watching him fall.
