OPPO Find X9 Pro With 200MP Hasselblad Camera Sets S$1,599 Singapore Launch

Amid the growing pool of competent smartphone cameras, another mobile imaging powerhouse is stepping in to challenge the status quo. Following the international launch of its Find X8 series, OPPO is maintaining its streak with the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro, which come two weeks after their debut in China.

Both devices are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset and the Arm G1-Ultra GPU that touts 33 percent higher graphics performance and 42 percent better power efficiency, but they differ in certain specifications. The base model measures 73.93 x 156.98 x 7.99mm (versus 74.33 x 157.35 x 7.85mm previously) and is slightly heavier at 203 grams, with display specifications unchanged from before: 6.59 inches, FHD+ resolution (2,670 x 1,256 pixels), and a 120Hz refresh rate.

On the rear is a triple-camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel (MP) main shooter with a 1/1.4-inch Sony LYT 808 sensor and an f/1.6 aperture, a 50MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus, and a 50MP periscope telephoto snapper featuring a 1/1.95-inch Sony LYT 600 sensor. Courtesy of the brand-new LUMO Image Engine, users can now capture photos in full 50MP resolution by default, delivering over four times the detail of standard 12MP images, and enjoy an intelligent switch to 25MP or 12MP modes in low-light situations for superior noise control through pixel binning.

The Find X9 Pro takes things a step further. Weighing in at 224 grams (up from 215 grams), it packs a 6.78-inch FHD+ 120Hz display (2,772 x 1,272 pixels) into an 8.25mm-thick chassis, remaining largely the same as its predecessor. The main and telephoto cameras have been upgraded, with the Ultra XDR Main Camera sporting a customised 1/1.28-inch Sony LYT 828 sensor, and the latter pairing a massive 1/1.56-inch 200MP sensor with a Hasselblad-certified lens boasting an f/2.1 aperture.

Alongside 4K Motion Photos, which increases video resolution from 1080p to 4K and allows users to extract any frame as a high-resolution still image, the two devices also feature OPPO’s Super Zoom for enhanced clarity up to 120x and the concert-focused Stage Mode. Additionally, the Find X9 Pro can be equipped with the Hasselblad Teleconverter for up to 200x digital zoom for photos and 50x for video.

Previously rated at 5,630mAh and 5,910mAh, the respective battery capacities of the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro have been bumped up to 7,025mAh and 7,500mAh. The series will ship with ColorOS 16 at launch, granting access to AI-powered tools such as AI Mind Space, used for capturing on-screen content with the new Snap Key; AI Recorder, which automatically generates titles and summaries; and AI Portrait Glow, which enhances low-light portraits by balancing light and skin tones.

The OPPO Find X9 series is open for pre-order in Singapore from 12pm today, 29 October, to 11.59pm on 4 November through OPPO Brand Stores and authorised e-commerce platforms.
